Who we are...
Mira’s Den is a feline-exclusive veterinary hospital & cozy cat coffee lounge. We are building it with one mission: to make cats (and their humans) feel truly at home.
We’re not just cat-friendly......we’re cat-obsessed. Founded by a DVM who has spent years immersed in feline medicine and surgery, Mira’s Den was born out of the belief that cats deserve BETTER! They should not be treated like small dogs in cold exam rooms.
Here, every inch of our space is designed specifically for cats and their people. From low-stress exam rooms and cozy cat perches, to a calming scent profile and relaxing color scheme.
We proudly practice Fear Free and Cat Friendly Certified Practices, because we know veterinary visits don’t have to be scary. Our team is trained in feline behavior, gentle handling, and emotional wellbeing, so your cat can get the care they need without trauma, for them or you.
We believe in a collaborative approach. That means listening to you, empowering you with knowledge, and partnering with you to keep your cat thriving from kittenhood to their golden years. Whether it’s advanced dental care, nutrition plans, or senior wellness, we’re here for every whisker and purr along the way.

Meet Dr. Brooklyn Flaherty
The CAT OBSCESSED Vet!
Hi, I’m Dr. Brooklyn, founder of Mira’s Den and lifelong cat enthusiast! I’ve loved cats for as long as I can remember. They’ve been the constant passion in my life - just ask anyone!
While in veterinary school at Auburn University, I even founded the student feline club because I couldn’t imagine not building a community around feline medicine.
For the past few years, I’ve practiced almost exclusively in feline medicine and surgery, providing comprehensive general practice care for cats at every life stage.
I am experienced in all aspects of feline GP, including:
• Wellness exams and preventive care
• Vaccinations and parasite prevention
• Nutrition counseling
• Internal medicine and chronic disease management
• Senior and geriatric care
• Feline grooming and coat health
• Routine and advanced soft tissue surgery
• High-volume spay and neuter
• Advanced dentistry (including full-mouth extractions and complex geriatric cases)
• Stem cell therapy and emerging medical protocols
I also maintain broad clinical skills through relief work (yes, I quietly keep those dog skills polished), and I have experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, HQHVSN, and collaborative specialty case management.
I strongly align with Fear Free and Cat Friendly practice principles, and I believe in proactive, individualized care. I work collaboratively with my clients because I truly believe you know your cat best. Every treatment plan is tailored to the cat, the owner, the life stage, and the circumstances surrounding that family.
Within the next few years, I will be pursuing ABVP board certification in Feline Medicine..... which means advanced case documentation, rigorous examination, and yes… official feline specialist letters after my name.

We are in Phase 2 of development! This means funding is being secured for the hospital portion of Mira's Den, BUT our Cozy Cat Coffee Lounge is still dependent on fundraising efforts!
